Dakota has completed his master's degree and is a provisionally licensed and nationally certified counselor. He is currently completing his doctoral degree in Community Care and Counseling with a focus in traumatology. In addition, he is also working on becoming a registered play therapist. 

Dakota is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and young adults using an eclectic approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and other strength-based approaches. Dakota's goal is to help you use the strength and ability you already have within yourself to overcome whatever struggle you're facing. 

A typical session with Dakota for children includes interactive interventions, using art, crafts, games, videos, play, mindfulness and other activities. He looks forward to working with you, or your child/teen, and providing the care you deserve to achieve the wellness you desire.
