Counselor

Brooklyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in West Virginia and has a passion for working with children, teens and families. Her experience includes working with those who are experiencing various difficulties including trauma responses, depression, anxiety, behavioral difficulties, relationship challenges, self-harm, low self-esteem and grief. She utilizes an eclectic approach tailored to each individual, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and other supportive modalities.

Brooklyn believes in each individual’s capacity for growth and healing. Within a strong therapeutic alliance and supportive environment, children, adolescents and their families can collaboratively work towards achieving their therapeutic goals, life goals and overall wellness.

She believes her role as a therapist is to be an authentic witness to her clients’ stories, creating a safe, trauma-informed environment for children and adolescents to engage in self exploration, let their truest self shine, gain skills and strategies while healing through difficult experiences. She enjoys bringing creativity and fun to her counseling sessions through the use of art, play, drama and storytelling.
